Indoor Soccer

Competitive, team-based football at Brisbane City Indoor Sports Centre, Coorparoo. Brisbane Inferno runs multiple indoor teams across the week, with three seasons a year and a minimum of 13 games per season.

Indoor soccer is a paid competition, with game fees payable per game or per season. Pricing can be found below.

About

Indoor Soccer is played undercover and on artificial grass. The netting surrounding the court means there is no ‘out-of-bounds’, giving players a great workout as play never stops. Our teams compete in 5-a-side (1 keeper & 4 players + subs) open competitions – which means all genders are welcome – and each soccer game consist of two 19 minute halves.

Our Teams

Brisbane Inferno has the following two teams competing in 2026/2027:

Brisbane Inferno currently fields two indoor soccer teams, split by division rather than day of the week – one team competing at a lower division, and one at a higher division for more experienced players.

Feedback from our members has shown that people enjoy their football most when playing alongside others of a similar ability, so team placement is run through a selection process overseen by an accredited Football Queensland coach.

Brisbane Inferno believes that every member who wants to play should have a team to play for, regardless of ability, age, gender, fitness level, or experience – and we work to find a place for everyone who’s interested.

That said, fielding a team each week relies on having committed players we can count on, so guaranteed game time is reserved for those who can commit regularly. Members who can’t commit to a full season are still very welcome to be part of a team, though we can’t guarantee game time for every match – historically, however, there have been good opportunities to play throughout the season.

What to bring?

To make the most out of your game, please ensure to bring:

> Indoor Footwear | e.g. sneakers / indoor soccer boots (no studs!)
> Shorts
> Shin Pads (optional)
> Water Bottle (optional)

Brisbane Inferno will supply you with a Brisbane Inferno jersey. We ask all players to arrive at least 15 minutes before kick-off to allow for a pre-game huddle. After the match we take a group selfie for our social media pages (optional) and settle any outstanding payments. The majority of our players then hang around to chat over a drink and unwind together – it’s one of our favourite parts of match day, so don’t rush off if you can help it!

All communication is done through our dedicated Whatsapp Groups so make sure you are part of the group so you don’t miss any last-minute updates.

Ready to join?

Getting started is easy – simply reach out via our “BIFC – Join Indoor Soccer” WhatsApp group, email, Instagram or Facebook to express your interest in joining. We run expressions of interest ahead of each season (seasons run every 4 months), and use these to work out the best team fit for everyone. Sometimes we can even fit you in during the current season as a “pay-as-you-play”-player, so reach out as soon as you can!

We do our best to match everyone with the team they’d prefer, but team numbers need to be balanced – enough players to field a strong team, but not so many that game time suffers – so we can’t always guarantee your first-choice team in a given season. Members who have paid for a full season are guaranteed a spot on a team for that season. Beyond that, what we can guarantee is that we’ll find every interested player a team, and if we can’t fit you in for the current season, we’ll make sure you’re front of mind for the next one.

Once you’re placed in a team, we’ll add you to that team’s WhatsApp Group, where you’ll get match reminders, team updates, and get to know the rest of the squad before you even step on the court.

Before each match, our “Team Captain” will ask everyone about their attendance for the next game via the dedicated WhatsApp Group. Letting your captain know you’re available each week helps us field a strong team and keeps game time as consistent as possible for committed players.

Nervous about joining? We have all been there, but there is no need. Feel free to reach out to one of our Brisbane Inferno committee members beforehand via our WhatsApp Community*, Instagram, Facebook or send an email to info@brisbaneinfernofc.com.au, and we’ll answer all your questions or concerns. We can even team you up with a committee member to make sure you already have a familiar face when you show up to one of our events!

*Within our WhatsApp Community, we’ve created a dedicated group for first-timers called “BIFC – First Timers”. This group only contains of committee members – it’s a safe space to ask any questions or concerns before you attend an event. Once you’re settled in, we’ll help you move into one of the other dedicated group chats.
