Who are we?

Brisbane Inferno FC exists to give LGBTQI+ people a place to belong. We are a soccer club first, but at our heart, we’re a community – one that’s safe, inclusive and welcoming to everyone who walks through our door.

That includes:
> LGBTQI+ players of all genders
> Players of every age and fitness level
> First-timers
> Experienced players
> People newly connecting with the community
> Anyone who just wants somewhere they can be themselves

No matter your gender identity, age, sexual orientation, background or playing ability, there’s a place for you here – whether that’s chasing competitive wins during indoor sessions, kicking a ball socially at Perry Park or simply being part of a community that has your back.

We can even team you up with a committee member to make sure you already have a familiar face when you show up to one of our events!

*Within our WhatsApp Community, we’ve created a dedicated group for first-timers called “BIFC – First Timers”. This group only contains of committee members – it’s a safe space to ask any questions or concerns before you attend an event. Once you’re settled in, we’ll help you move into one of the other dedicated group chats.

Club Structure

Brisbane Inferno FC is an incorporated association and run by a Management Committee, which consists solely of volunteers.

The Management Committee meets at least every four weeks, with day-to-day authority over the club’s affairs, while major decisions such as rule changes, committee removals, and financial oversight are reserved for general meetings, where each eligible member holds one vote. The club’s financial year ends in March, with the AGM held within six months after, and all expenditure over $100 requiring dual sign-off, including the President, Secretary or Treasurer.

Brisbane Inferno FC is a not-for-profit organisation – any earnings go straight back into the club, supporting things like field hire, equipment, and club events, rather than being distributed to members or committee.
