Mid-week training for 2023 has come to an end. We will start training again in January / February next year in preparation for the forthcoming metro season.

We offer social soccer and indoor soccer, so please reach out if you are interested in playing.

This year we will be having a sit down two course meal while presenting our awards and enjoying some entertainment. There will be awards presented across all areas of the club – metro, indoor and social.

Last year was a blast – we look forward to having you along this year for a bigger and better awards night!

FRIDAY 6th & SATURDAY 7th October Brisbane Inferno FC are hosting the PFA tournament for the second time. We will be forming a working group to help organise the events on Friday and Saturday. If you are interested in helping, please email the committee.*Event details are subject to change.

Christmas in July this year will be a sit down 2 course meal at the Brunswick Hotel. There will be games, christmas crackers and all the festivities that come with Christmas … but in July!

The meal will be an alternate drop menu:

Main Option #1 – Hot selection of honey glazed ham, roasted turkey, beef chipolatas, roasted vegetables, steamed greens, walnut stuffing, gravy.

Main Option #2 – Cold selection of natural oysters, smoked salmon, chilled tiger prawns, cocktail sauce, ham and saffron potato salad.

Desert Option #1 – Christmas pudding with brandy custard and fresh strawberries.

Desert Option #2 – Pavlova with fresh fruit, berry compote and whipped cream.

If you would prefer to order of the regular menu, please select the ‘Free’ option when buying your ticket. We are currently discussing menu options for our vegetarian/vegan members with the Brunswick.

We encourage all members to attend this important annual event. YOU MUST BE AN ORDINARY MEMBER TO VOTE OR A SOCIAL MEMBER TO ATTEND Social members are encouraged to attend and be involved in the event, but will not have a voting right.

Annual General Meeting

FRIDAY 14th April 2023 ARRIVAL TIME – 6.30 PM START TIME – 7.00 PM

To all Members of Brisbane Inferno Football Club. (BIFC),   The Committee of Brisbane Inferno Football Club hereby gives you notice of the BIFC’s Annual General Meeting to commence at 7:00 pm at Brisbane Strikers FC, 95 Abbotsford Rd, Bowen Hills QLD 4006.     If you plan to attend the 2023 AGM, please RSVP to the Secretary at secretary@brisbaneinfernofc.com.au or alternatively use the Facebook event.   All executive positions will be vacated at the 2023 AGM. Those wishing to nominate for executive positions, including BIFC President, may complete the nomination form and provide it to the Club Secretary no less than two days prior to the AGM. This requirement means that nominations close Tuesday, 11th April 2023. Every nomination for the committee must be in writing and signed by two (2) members of the club, accompanied by the candidate’s written consent. A separate nomination must be completed for the position of BIFC President.   If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies on the Committee, the candidates nominated will be taken to be elected, and further nominations are to be received at the 2023 AGM.   A member desiring to bring any business before a general meeting may give notice in writing of that business to the Secretary, who must include that business in the next notice calling a general meeting.   Voting On any question arising at a general meeting of the Club, a member has one vote only.   All votes must be given personally or by proxy, but no member may hold more than 3 proxies.   In the case of an equality of votes on a question at a general meeting, the chairperson of the meeting is entitled to exercise a second or casting vote.   Appointment of proxies Each member is to be entitled to appoint another member as proxy by notice, which must be in the possession of the proxy at the meeting. This form is attached to this email.   Business of the AGM It is intended that the business to be conducted at the AGM will be to   (a) confirm the minutes of the last preceding annual general meeting and of any special general meeting held since that meeting; (b) to receive from the Committee reports on the activities of the Club during the last preceding financial year, (c) to elect office-bearers of the Club and ordinary members of the Committee; and (d)  to receive and consider the statement which is required to be submitted to members and considered pursuant to section 48 of the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (QLD).     SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS None    AGM FORMS
